What you'd actually do

  1. Design inputs and outputs management, materials selection and biocompatibility, risk management, and verification & validation activities.
  2. Other typical responsibilities include supporting product testing with protocol and test method development.
  3. A high level of teamwork across multiple functions and geographies will be required. Proven analytical problem solving and decision-making skills are needed, alongside effective collaboration at all levels within the business.
  4. Support the development of multiple new product codes with differing technology across external supply base.
  5. Collaborate with the design team to provide DFX (manufacturing, assembly, and cost) input and enable translation of product design inputs to product and process outputs.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant Engineering subject
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in a Product Development role
  • Engineering design, development and analysis skills
  • Design history file generation and associated documentation such as technical reports, test reports and risk management

Nice to have

  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Applied Process Excellence/ Design Excellence, LEAN and Value Engineering experience
  • formal Green Belt/Black Belt Certification
  • Analytical simulation skills with practical use of Matlab or Ansys software
  • Advanced CAD techniques
