Devops Software Engineer - Security Research, Sear

Apple Apple · Big Tech · Paris, France · Software and Services

DevOps Software Engineer to scale security research prototypes into reliable, production-grade services. This role involves combining infrastructure and software development to empower security researchers by transforming internal tools into robust production services. Responsibilities include assessing research codebases, building service APIs, designing containerized deployments, establishing CI/CD pipelines, and implementing monitoring and observability practices.

What you'd actually do

  1. DevOps support across your partner research teams — gathering requirements, architecting solutions, leading rollouts, and communicating progress and impact to engineers, managers, and leaders across the organization.
  2. Bring equal rigor to code quality, security posture, and operational excellence — balancing all three to maximize SEAR's ability to proactively secure Apple products at scale.
  3. Experience designing and operating cloud and on-premises service infrastructure, with advanced knowledge of containerization, Kubernetes, data storage, networking, authentication/authorization (OIDC, OAuth), queuing, logging, and monitoring.
  4. Advanced knowledge in scripting and programming languages, including Python and Bash.
  5. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent), and observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, OpenSearch/ELK).
