Devsecops Software Engineer

This role is for a DevSecOps Software Engineer supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization, specifically within the Argon ST group. The engineer will focus on supporting software development teams by implementing and maintaining tools and processes for build automation, artifact management, version control, virtualization, application deployment, and configuration. The role requires experience with various development and deployment tools, scripting, and Linux environments, with a focus on classified and unclassified server builds and deployments.

What you'd actually do

  1. Display mastery of industry best practices in classified and unclassified server builds, containerization, software build, software artifact management, version control strategies, virtualization, application deployment, configuration, and integration.
  2. Identify, investigate, deploy, integrate, maintain, upgrade and support tools used in our development and deployment processes.
  3. Perform automation and auditing of software builds and unit, functional, and acceptance tests.
  4. Automate server builds and deployments across multiple networks.
  5. Efficiently execute a wide range of day-to-day operations including user / permissions management, code delivery, team consults, server and database administration.

  • P4 / Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 9+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 13+ years of directly related work experience OR 17+ years of related, relevant experience
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • full software development lifecycle
  • Continuous integration server administration - Jenkins preferred
  • administering self-hosted on prem software development infrastructure – Atlassian/GitLab suite preferred
  • Artifact management server administration - Artifactory preferred
  • Server configuration tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Packer, puppet/chef, RHEL kickstart, etc.
  • Bash Shell scripting
  • Security+ Certification
