Seeking a Diesel & Fleet Vehicle Mechanic Technician to maintain delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers, including those with diesel, gasoline, and alternative fuel systems. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls. The role requires willingness to work shifts and possess necessary hand tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment
  2. Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout duration of workday
  3. Sits infrequently, as required, throughout duration of workday
  4. Exercises simple hand grasping, power hand grasping, fine hand manipulation, and reaching from foot level to above shoulder level as necessary to complete assigned tasks
  5. Operates standard and manual transmission
  6. Operates power and pneumatic tools

Skills

Required

  • active driver’s license
  • willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shifts
  • possess the required hand tools
  • Current documented automotive mechanical experience
  • Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer
  • Possesses full complement of personal hand tools
  • Dependable with ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis
  • Available to work varying shifts, additional hours and/or overtime
  • Wears personal protective equipment as required
  • Works in an environment with variable temperatures and humidity
  • Works cooperatively in a diverse work environment
  • Communicates effectively

Nice to have

  • Class A/B or A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
