Digital Controllership Senior Controllership

This role focuses on modernizing the controllership function for finance leaders by addressing accounting, data, process, and technology challenges. It involves implementing digital finance solutions to improve efficiency and controls, working with platforms like SAP, Oracle, and Workday, and developing accounting data models and analytics.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support client engagements focused on controllership, finance transformation, and digital finance modernization
  2. Gather requirements, map business processes, and support solution design, testing, and deployment
  3. Implement or optimize finance platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, Workiva, and BlackLine
  4. Develop accounting data models, reporting structures, and analytics to improve financial insight
  5. Contribute to proposals, practice initiatives, and day-to-day client delivery

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Actuarial Science
  • 3+ years of experience in accounting, controllership, financial planning and analysis, or cost accounting
  • 3+ years of experience with requirements gathering, business process mapping, or full life cycle implementation for enterprise resource planning systems, finance platforms, or boundary applications
  • Experience with one or more of the following: SAP, SAP Performance and Profitability Management, SAP Profitability and Cost Management, Oracle, Oracle Profitability and Cost Management, CostPerform, Workday, Workiva, BlackLine, Alteryx, Microsoft SQL Server, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in Business, Information Systems, Accounting, or Finance
  • Experience supervising and executing technology life cycle activities using project management and testing methodologies
  • Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Accountant, Certified Cost Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst, or Financial Risk Manager certification, or progress toward one of these credentials
  • Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, International Financial Reporting Standards, Securities and Exchange Commission rules and regulations, managerial accounting, cost accounting, and profitability analysis
  • Experience with reporting tools, big data tools, machine learning tools, or data visualization tools
  • Experience leading a project workstream within Record to Report or Order to Cash
