This role is for a Digital Operations Lead at Boeing, responsible for the owner-side technical authority for digital standards, quality, and acceptance of digital deliverables into authoritative facility records. The role involves governing project digital delivery and internal record updates, enforcing enterprise digital standards, providing project digital governance, leading QA/QC reviews, managing standards exceptions, and guiding the technical approach for model structure and downstream handover requirements. It requires experience with BIM software, scanning tools, and digital operations, with preferred experience in BIM/VDC leadership, engineering drawings, lifecycle digital handover, and owner-side authority.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own and enforce regional application of enterprise digital standards (models, drawings, metadata, deliverable formats)
  2. Provide project digital governance; participate in kickoff and milestone reviews; define quality gates and acceptance criteria
  3. Experience running Quality Assurance (QA)/ Quality Control (QC) reviews and enforcing BIM execution requirements across project milestones
  4. Lead QA/QC for deliverables (project and internal) and approve reintegration into master drawings/models (authoritative record)
  5. Manage standards exceptions: evaluation, document, approve/deny deviations and drive corrective actions

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s in architecture, engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, scanning tools, and digital operations

Nice to have

  • 10+ years of BIM/VDC leadership experience (including BIM/VDC Manager or Digital Delivery Lead roles)
  • 5+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • 5+ years of experience working in a multi-project, multi-disciplinary organization
  • Experience implementing owner-side digital delivery requirements (contract language, deliverable specifications, acceptance criteria)
  • Experience with lifecycle digital handover, record reintegration and configuration control (authoritative record mindset)
  • Experience with ISO 19650 concepts, Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows, and structured information management
  • Experience mentoring teams and scaling standards across multi-site or enterprise portfolios
  • Experience in reducing rework and improving first-pass acceptance through governance and process improvements
  • Experience in drafting best practices
  • Experience communicating technical requirements effectively to Architect-Engineers (AEs)/ General Contractors (GCs) and internal stakeholders
  • Experience operating as an owner-side authority: setting requirements, enforcing gates, and holding partners accountable
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Common Data Environment (CDE) concepts and structured handover requirements (metadata, naming conventions, folder standards)
