Director of Product Management responsible for leading product strategy and execution across plans, tiering, and monetization for Disney Entertainment & ESPN's global streaming business. This role focuses on driving sustainable revenue growth by defining and optimizing subscription plans, evaluating new monetization models, and managing a team of Product Managers. It requires a strong understanding of consumer behavior, market dynamics, and direct-to-consumer subscription businesses.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop the strategy for plan tiering and evolution across a global portfolio, aligning consumer needs with our business objectives.
  2. Design and lead a learning agenda that deepens our understanding of consumer willingness to pay and price elasticity.
  3. Develop a product strategy to effectively balance revenue tradeoffs between advertising, subscription, and paid sharing revenue.
  4. Define and build product and user experience features for plans and monetization.
  5. Identify and drive opportunities to improve ARPU, conversion, and churn

Skills

Required

  • 12+ years of experience working in strategy, product, consulting (or combination of the above) focused on monetization strategy.
  • In-depth experience with how companies should tier, package, and structure their commercial offerings, and proven record of prioritizing and driving large-scale monetization programs and initiatives.
  • Worked in a direct-to-consumer subscription business with global scope.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and consumer behavior/preferences.
  • Ability to balance customer-centric thinking with business impact
  • Excellent communication skills, with a talent for influencing senior stakeholders
  • Experience working in an organizational structure with both vertical and horizontal teams where ownership of a capability cuts across multiple teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Nice to have

  • Experience in streaming, media, or digital subscription businesses
  • Background in global pricing and localization strategies
  • Familiarity with ad-supported subscription models (AVOD/hybrid tiers)
