Dir, Senior Systematic Trading Strategist

This role focuses on developing and deploying systematic trading strategies within the FICC E-Trading & Market Structure team, specifically for Credit markets. Responsibilities include designing algorithms, building desk tools, analyzing market data, and collaborating with trading and technology stakeholders. The role requires strong quantitative, business, and technical expertise, with a focus on end-to-end delivery of trading ideas and strategies.

What you'd actually do

  1. Originating, designing, and deploying systematic trading ideas and strategies, with ownership of end-to-end delivery
  2. Architecting frameworks, tools, and visualizations (e.g. workflow, risk exhaustion, P&L attribution, hedging) that scale across the desk
  3. Leading enhancement and optimization efforts across ETF primary, systematic corporate bond trading, and portfolio trading
  4. Representing the strats pod in communications with senior management on technology/quant-related initiatives, priorities, and roadmaps
  5. Conducting rigorous, in-depth data analysis of markets, strategy performance, AMM/HMM execution, and surfacing actionable insight

Skills

Required

  • Expert-level programming skills in Python, KDB, SQL
  • 5+ years of financial industry experience, with meaningful tenure in a front-office or e-trading environment
  • Deep domain expertise in Credit markets, including market microstructure and electronic trading dynamics
  • Proven ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts to senior stakeholders with clarity and precision
  • Strong working knowledge of Credit electronic trading platforms/protocols and familiarity with bond/swap products

Nice to have

  • Academic background at undergraduate/masters level in finance or STEM subjects; advanced degree preferred
