Armada is seeking a Director of Business Development to support executive leadership in qualifying and managing commercial and partnership opportunities. This role involves preparing executives for meetings, acting as a primary qualification layer for inbound opportunities, and conducting market intelligence research. The goal is to ensure that high-value opportunities translate into positive outcomes for Armada, which provides modular AI infrastructure for the edge.

What you'd actually do

  1. Join executive leadership for inbound commercial, partnership, and strategic meetings as a standing presence — providing context, capturing key outputs, and helping shape how Armada is positioned in the room.
  2. Prepare executive leadership ahead of meetings with tight, actionable briefings: who we’re meeting, why it matters, what we know about them, and what outcomes we’re trying to achieve.
  3. Act as Armada’s primary qualification layer for inbound commercial and partner opportunities. Apply rigorous, structured judgment to determine whether an opportunity merits Armada’s time and attention.
  4. Proactively scan the commercial landscape to identify emerging opportunities, competitive signals, and market trends relevant to Armada’s growth priorities.
  5. Identify net-new strategic opportunities that align with Armada’s near- and long-term priorities — not just reactive work, but proactive deal shaping.

Skills

Required

  • 8-12+ years of experience in business development, strategic sales, or a commercial function
  • Demonstrated qualification expertise in assessing commercial opportunities
  • Executive relationship management

Nice to have

  • Experience in the defense, energy, public safety, manufacturing, or sovereign AI verticals
