What you'd actually do

  1. Manage and enhance existing relationships with local, regional, and global Fintech companies in Japan, while identifying and capitalizing on key business opportunities for core products and Value-Added Services (VAS).
  2. The candidate must be client-focused, prioritizing an understanding of client objectives and business challenges, fostering strong relationships with both client executives and operational teams, aligning work plans with Visa’s core priorities, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to leverage Visa’s capabilities for client’s business growth.
  3. Develop a robust Fintech pipeline through active engagement with the Fintech community. This involves building a network by connecting with venture capitalists, attending Fintech events, and brainstorming potential business models. A thorough understanding of the Fintech ecosystem and trends, along with a comprehensive grasp of business requirements (such as government licensing and Visa’s internal processes), is essential.
  4. Collaborate with enablers and processors to optimize synergies and build an effective Fintech ecosystem, thereby contributing to the enhancement of Japan's payment ecosystem. This requires the candidate to assess and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of various market enablers and effectively connect them with Fintech entities in need.
