This Director of Compliance role focuses on developing and managing enterprise-wide compliance programs for Adverse Action requirements (ECOA/Regulation B) and Section 1071 of the Dodd-Frank Act within a highly regulated financial services environment. The role requires strong leadership, risk management, project management, and analytical skills to ensure adherence to regulatory expectations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the development, evolution, and continuous enhancement of the Adverse Action and 1071 compliance programs.
  2. Provide robust oversight of these programs through strong governance frameworks, rigorous controls and testing, and clear risk escalation processes.
  3. Report program results to senior management and stakeholders, as necessary.
  4. Monitor and track work plans for the effective remediation of internal or regulatory findings.
  5. Cultivate a highly collaborative environment with other risk teams and partner groups to deliver an integrated and seamless risk experience for the business.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience
  • At least 5 years experience in building or leading compliance programs within a consumer financial services institution or leading a regulatory compliance function
  • At least 5 years of people management experience
