Director, Content Marketing

Gong Gong · Enterprise · San Francisco, CA · Corporate Marketing

Gong is seeking a Director of Content Marketing to lead their content strategy and execution. This role involves writing, editing, and setting the standard for content across the customer journey, including thought leadership, customer stories, and original research. The ideal candidate will have strong editorial judgment, a deep understanding of AI's role in content, and the ability to translate complex AI concepts into compelling narratives. The role emphasizes building a content engine that drives brand authority and influences the market.

What you'd actually do

  1. Be Gong's best writer. Set and protect a distinct, data-backed, opinionated brand voice across all channels.
  2. Own the Gong narrative. Translate complex concepts such as Agentic AI, Revenue Graphs, and Agent / Human Orchestration into clear, provocative stories that resonate with revenue leaders.
  3. Partner with data science to evolve Gong Labs into the industry's most trusted source of revenue insights — content backed by real pipeline and call data that no competitor can replicate.
  4. Build content frameworks mapped to the full customer journey—from awareness through expansion—that demonstrably improve conversion and shorten sales cycles.
  5. Lead and grow a team of content marketers, providing hands-on editorial mentorship and career development.
