Director, Crypto Sales and Business Development, Lac

Visa is seeking a Director of Crypto Sales and Business Development for Latin America & the Caribbean (LAC). This role will focus on executing go-to-market strategies for stablecoin payments and broader crypto solutions, managing priority crypto clients, identifying new sales opportunities, and pursuing new partnerships within the crypto ecosystem. The position requires cross-functional collaboration to structure and close revenue-generating deals and shape Visa's crypto go-to-market approach.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage existing and identify new crypto ecosystem partnerships relevant and within LAC, including blockchains, stablecoin issuers, orchestration providers, DeFi protocols, and adjacent partner archetypes, in close coordination with global client and product priorities.
  2. Drive commercial execution of global and regional deals within LAC, partnering with global sales and GTM teams to bring new crypto capabilities and products to market across multiple regions, with a focus on scalable, repeatable revenue opportunities.
  3. Shape and execute global Go‑To‑Market strategies for Visa Crypto solutions, working with named global clients active in LAC and aligning with regional and local counterparts to ensure consistent execution, client coverage, and pipeline acceleration.
  4. Partner cross‑functionally to source, structure, and pilot new global partnerships, streamlining partnership models, governance, and operating processes to accelerate deal velocity and global scalability.

Skills

Required

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Proven experience in operating and business development roles across companies in financial services, fintech, crypto, and payments
  • High product acumen and solutions mindset
  • Proven record of implementing strategic initiatives, policies and operational decisions
  • Proven ability to form new partnerships and find new sales opportunities in white space, demonstrating commercial creativity and instincts alongside negotiation skills
  • Strategic thinking and thought leadership with subject matter expertise in stablecoins and blockchain technology
  • Teamwork, interpersonal & relationship-building skills, and ability to lead by influence and example
  • Proven ability to partner, communicate and manage/navigate through multiple disciplines and organizational groups
  • Experience “managing up”, building Executive Level communications and delivering presentations
  • Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment, and to influence senior management and other relevant parties
  • Executive presence, Strong written and oral communication, including large-group presentations
