This role is for a Director of Deal Management in EMEA, focusing on strategic and complex deals for New Relic's observability platform. It involves creating commercial frameworks, custom pricing, leading pricing initiatives, and providing analytical support for executive decisions. The role requires leading a team, collaborating with various departments (Sales, Finance, Legal, Product), and ensuring governance for non-standard deal approvals. While the company operates in an 'AI-first world' and has an 'intelligent platform', the core responsibilities of this role are in deal strategy, management, and financial analysis, not direct AI/ML development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the EMEA Deal Management team, operating framework, end-to-end process, systems, & metrics for deal management function
  2. Oversee commercial terms and non-standard approvals
  3. Accountable for deal structuring practices & policies that accelerate growth, improve sales velocity and ensure fair value for New Relic and customers
  4. Acts as senior escalation point and approval authority in commercial negotiations
  5. Lead projects and initiatives focused on efficiency and simplifying processes throughout the sales organization

Skills

Required

  • Operations/Sales Operations/Finance management experience
  • Finance, accounting or adjacent field degree
  • Consumption and/or SaaS go-to-market models understanding
  • Leading & scaling multi-discipline Finance or Operations teams
  • Analytical, fact driven, process orientated
  • Challenging the status quo and setting new strategic/operational direction
