This role is for a Commercial Lead, Energy Market Development at CoreWeave, an AI cloud provider. The individual will lead and scale relationships with electric utilities, grid operators, and stakeholders to ensure power availability for AI data center growth. Responsibilities include utility engagement, power procurement, interconnection, market expansion, and regulatory coordination. The role requires extensive experience in energy infrastructure and power procurement, with a focus on supporting large-scale AI loads.

What you'd actually do

  1. Act as CoreWeave’s primary executive point of contact for U.S. electric utilities, cooperatives, municipal utilities, and grid operators.
  2. Build deep, durable relationships with utility leadership, planning, and large-load teams in priority markets.
  3. Lead discussions around power availability, load growth planning, and long-term infrastructure needs tied to AI data centers.
  4. Partner with internal teams to secure power supply through utility service, special contracts, tariffs, and other commercial arrangements.
  5. Drive strategy and execution for large-load interconnections, including transmission and distribution studies, upgrades, and approvals.

What the JD emphasized
