Adobe Adobe · Enterprise · San Jose, CA +1

Director, Engineering Operations (Chief of Staff to VP of Engineering, Adobe Express) role at Adobe. This role focuses on driving execution, decision-making, and alignment across engineering initiatives, including AI/agentic systems, platform migrations, and infra transformations. It requires strong technical fluency and the ability to influence senior leaders without formal authority. The primary focus is on operational excellence and strategic execution within the engineering organization.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive progress on the most critical, cross-cutting Engineering initiatives (platform migrations, reliability, AI/agentic systems, infra transformations, org-wide process changes).
  2. Ensure leadership discussions result in decisions—not open threads.
  3. Own Engineering leadership cadence (staff, reviews, offsites) with a focus on signal, decisions, and outcomes.
  4. Work across Engineering, Product, Design, Data, and partner teams to ensure priorities are aligned and sequenced correctly.
  5. Provide a real-time, honest view of initiative health, risks, and tradeoffs.
