The Director of US Government Affairs will manage outreach to the Executive Branch and Congressional Republicans to advocate and shape policies that advance American semiconductor manufacturing and technology leadership. This role involves federal lobbying efforts, advocating for Intel's positions on critical policy issues, and leading lobbying efforts on technology issues like Quantum Computing, Cybersecurity, and Data.

What you'd actually do

  1. Create and execute federal lobbying efforts that advance our policy positions and achieve favorable outcomes.
  2. Advocate for Intel's positions on critical policy issues at a time of dynamic change for the semiconductor industry.
  3. Articulate a clear, compelling vision for the importance of U.S. domestic semiconductor manufacturing, Intel's leadership role in the industry, and the federal policies needed to support these priorities.
  4. Lead lobbying efforts on technology issues (Quantum Computing, Cybersecurity, Data)
  5. Work with the U.S. Government Relations team to develop and execute Intel's strategic and tactical responses to pending legislation, regulation, and policy issues, including internal alignment and external engagement with trade associations, relevant third parties, and directly with policymakers.

Skills

Required

  • At least 7+ years , of relevant experience with the U.S. federal government; focusing on manufacturing policy, but with ability to work across a broad portfolio of issues
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Excellent political and business judgment

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree (e.g., JD, MBA, MPA, MPP) is highly desirable.
  • Broad government relations/policy understanding (internal and external)
