This role is for a Director of Government Affairs focused on federal engagement for an AI cloud infrastructure company. The primary responsibilities involve shaping and advancing the company's agenda on AI, cloud infrastructure, and cybersecurity with Congress, the Administration, and federal agencies. This includes building relationships, advocating for policy positions, and translating policy developments into actionable business intelligence. The role requires extensive experience in federal government affairs and a strong understanding of legislative and regulatory processes related to technology.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead a disciplined engagement cadence with priority committees and agencies and drive follow-ups to completion.
  2. Advance positions on responsible AI, privacy alignment, cloud security, procurement pathways, and critical infrastructure.
  3. Build CoreWeave's profile with priority federal policymakers as a credible, expert voice on AI infrastructure, national competitiveness, and responsible energy development.
  4. Translate federal policy developments, including executive actions, budget decisions, AI rulemakings, and procurement rules, into timely and actionable intelligence for product, sales, and business teams.
  5. Support political planning and events in partnership with Legal and compliance partners.

Skills

Required

  • 15+ years of experience in federal government affairs, public policy, or administration within technology, infrastructure, or related sectors.
  • Demonstrated track record advancing legislative and regulatory priorities, including drafting testimony, comment letters, and legislative language.
  • Established relationships with key Congressional committees, federal agencies, and Administration stakeholders.
  • Experience driving outcomes across legislation, rulemaking, procurement, and compliance processes.
  • Proven ability to translate federal policy developments (e.g., executive actions, budget decisions, AI regulations) into actionable business strategies.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent policy workstreams with measurable results and consistent execution.
  • Bachelor's degree required

Nice to have

  • Experience with federal procurement processes and appropriations cycles.
  • Experience shaping technology policy narratives in national media environments.
  • MBA or J.D.
