What you'd actually do

  1. Lead, develop, and inspire a team of 7 lawyers and legal professionals across Paris and São Paulo, fostering an inclusive, high‑trust environment.
  2. Define and implement the legal strategy for Southwest Europe (France, Italy and Spain) and Latin America(Brazil, Mexico, Chile and Argentina as main markets).
  3. Identify and manage legal risk across commercial, regulatory, data privacy, IP, and AI‑related matters, translating risk into clear business guidance.
  4. Oversee complex commercial agreements, including licensing, services, partnerships, and AI‑related arrangements.
  5. Improve legal operations through process optimization, legal technology, AI innovation and workflows, and effective knowledge management.

Skills

Required

  • Law degree (or equivalent) and active admission to the Bar
  • 12+ years of post-qualification legal experience, with significant in-house experience at a multinational technology, software or IP-intensive company.
  • > 6 years of people management experience, including direct management of lawyers at varying levels of seniority.
  • Proven track record of managing geographically dispersed, multicultural teams
  • Expert knowledge of commercial/IT/IP law
  • Strong working knowledge of GDPR, AI regulation, and competition law in the French, Spanish and/or Italian context.
  • Experience overseeing external counsel partnerships and managing legal budgets at a regional level.
  • French: Native or bilingual proficiency
  • English: Full professional proficiency

  • Experience managing across EMEA and LATAM strongly preferred
  • Spanish, Portuguese, Italian: An advantage
