This role leads the Value, Evidence & Access (VE&A) team within Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Japan, focusing on driving Japan's Health Technology Assessment (HTA) preparation, submission, and negotiation. It involves building market access evidence generation strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing budgets, and leading a team. The role requires a deep understanding of the Japanese healthcare system and health economics.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the team to assess likelihood of Japan HTA designation during LRFP and other decision-making process.
  2. Drive strategy of Japan HTA preparation, submission and negotiation.
  3. Participate in IMAT Leadership reviews for key access decisions.
  4. Build overall Market Access evidence generation strategy for J&J IM Japan, which should be aligned with local company’s and regional/global market access strategy.
  5. Work closely with regional / global market access team to communicate Japan’s access evidence needs.

What the JD emphasized

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in health economics or market access in healthcare industry is required.
  • In-depth understanding of Japanese governments and their perspective on Healthcare/Social insurance strategy is required.
  • Knowledge on health economic analysis, cost-effective analysis (CEA), and methodology used in evidence generation.
  • Experience in building teams and managing people and budgets.
  • Business English skill is required
