NVIDIA is seeking an Applied Research Manager to lead strategy for Clara in Healthcare and Medical Imaging. The role involves driving applied research, defining data curation strategies, developing new medical applications using ML, generative AI, and computer vision, and enabling business teams with generative AI capabilities. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of ML, computer vision, generative models, LLMs, and medical imaging, with leadership experience and a track record of building applied research programs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and drive Applied Research strategy for our medical products and SW development platforms across many teams
  2. Define, develop and implement a data curation strategy to enable the next generation of medical and healthcare products together with our partners
  3. Focus NVIDIA efforts on opportunities to improve leading technology in healthcare bringing together capabilities from across the company and in multiple domains
  4. Drive research and development of new medical applications using machine learning, generative AI and computer vision
  5. Enable our business and solution architect teams with generative AI capabilities that can be adapted to customer products

Skills

Required

  • Masters or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a similar field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of leadership experience
  • 10+ years of overall relevant industry experience
  • Industry leading mastery of machine learning, generative models, LLMs and computer vision techniques
  • Demonstrated track record of building applied medical research programs, applying research to products and innovating across domains
  • Python, C/C++, or other programming languages
