Director, Knowledge Management

The Director of Knowledge Management will own Oura’s enterprise knowledge strategy, establish taxonomy, build governance frameworks, and drive cultural change for durable knowledge practices. This role operates at the intersection of People, IT, Legal, Comms, and Operations, focusing on data retention, migration, institutional memory preservation, and platform stewardship, including optimizing information architecture for multi-tool AI stack use cases.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define enterprise-wide taxonomy, governance, and "living knowledge" frameworks to support rapid scaling and IPO readiness.
  2. Serve as DRI for a 7-wave data retention program, transitioning the company from Slack-centric storage to durable repositories (Confluence, Google Drive).
  3. Co-own governance of Oura’s tech stack (Confluence, Google Workspace, Glean, Miro, Slack, Intranet) in partnership with IT.
  4. Optimize information architecture to support multi-tool AI stack use cases (e.g., performance reviews, deal continuity).
  5. Define and track KPIs for knowledge health, including content currency, discoverability, and search efficacy.

Skills

Required

  • 12+ years in knowledge management, organizational effectiveness, change management, L&D, or an adjacent field.
  • Proven success scaling KM practices within high-growth, Series C+ or pre-IPO environments.
  • Exceptional track record of driving cross-functional behavior change, program management, and cultural alignment.
  • Familiarity with data retention compliance, legal governance, or HR/L&D operations.

Nice to have

  • hands-on expertise with Google Workspace, Glean, Miro, and Slack.
