Director, Manufacturing Site Leader for the OTTAVA Surgical Robotic Platform, responsible for strategic, operational, and technical leadership of manufacturing plants. This role oversees daily operations, long-term planning, talent development, and drives initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and scalability, including scaling production from pilot to high-volume output while maintaining quality.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead all aspects of plant operations to meet quality, safety, output, and cost targets.
  2. Develop and execute site level strategic plans aligned with broader supply chain goals.
  3. Apply strong technical expertise in manufacturing of capital systems to guide problem solving and process improvements.
  4. Drive change management efforts to implement new technologies, processes, and organizational strategies.
  5. Standardize and optimize manufacturing processes to improve performance and scalability. ​Lead and develop managers and senior staff, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in technical manufacturing operations with at least 5+ years’ experience in a leadership position.
  • Prior complex capital equipment manufacturing experience.
  • Exceptional ability to build, lead and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced, matrix environment.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a high-stakes environment.
  • Strategic change management evolving the org structure with volume growth.
  • Proactive risk management (supplier capacity, quality, long lead inventory, technical risks) and navigating escalations.
  • Culture building by modeling transparency, accountability, continuous improvement, and quality mindset.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Medical Capital Equipment Manufacturing and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience building, launching and relocating manufacturing lines and/or factories.
  • Master’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Business or related field.
