Director of Manufacturing Test Engineering to lead the Manufacturing Test team, overseeing test strategy and execution for high-quality product releases at scale from contract manufacturers. Responsibilities include team management across US and Asia, hardware test system development, production support, quality assurance, and collaboration with cross-functional leaders.

What you'd actually do

  1. Influence the Global MFG Test strategy with an assessment including writing the forward-looking engagement model with CMs and internal partners
  2. Managing and developing a team of engineers based in both the US and Asia to execute key projects on the Oura product roadmap
  3. Hardware test system Development and Implementation, including designing and developing both automated and manual test systems, developing test strategies, developing test plans, procedures, and documentations; and selection and implementation of test equipment
  4. Production Support and Improvement, including troubleshooting, process improvement, NPI support, First pass yield targets, and training
  5. Quality Assurance and Compliance, including Ensuring traceability of test results, implementation of preventative measures for quality control, design for testability feedback

Skills

Required

  • 12+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, test engineering, or automation (assembly, inspection, test station design, or factory deployment)
  • Experience working with wearables and/or consumer electronics at a large scale
  • Experience leading and developing test teams across multiple sites
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
  • Experience leading development builds and mass production with global manufacturing partners
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% across domestic and international factory sites
