This role is for a Director of Competitive and Market Intelligence focused on Securing AI and Cloud Security. The individual will develop a market view, translate technical and competitive signals into strategies for product, marketing, and go-to-market, and influence product direction by partnering with engineering teams. The role requires understanding customer use cases, emerging threats, vendor landscapes, and translating complex technical concepts into clear narratives. The goal is to help shape how the industry evolves and how Microsoft positions its AI security solutions.

Skills

Required

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience translating complex technology and security concepts into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to synthesize diverse signals into actionable insights.
  • Ability to influence cross‑functional teams in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in cybersecurity, AI platforms, or AI governance and risk domains, with technical experience and the ability to engage credibly with engineering and technical stakeholders.
  • Background in competitive intelligence, product marketing, or strategic market analysis.
