Suno is seeking a Director of Editorial Content to build and lead their editorial voice, shaping long-form storytelling across various channels. This role involves building the editorial function from the ground up, hiring and managing a team, setting craft standards, and partnering with other departments to tell Suno's story. The ideal candidate has extensive editorial experience, a strong understanding of music and artist culture, and a builder's mindset, with a curiosity about AI's impact on the creative landscape.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own Suno’s long-form editorial vision and strategy across video & audio content, blog, newsletter, features, and artist storytelling—defining what we publish, why, and how it ladders up to brand and business goals.
  2. Develop the audience and content channel strategy for optimal distribution and reach and impact.
  3. Build and lead the editorial content team—developing and hiring content creators, video directors, managing editors, and a network of freelance contributors; setting the bar for craft, reporting, and editing standards.
  4. Establish and evolve Suno’s editorial voice, style guide, and publishing standards—ensuring every piece feels unmistakably Suno.
  5. Shape and execute an editorial calendar that balances tentpole features, artist stories, cultural commentary, product narratives, and evergreen content across owned and operated channels.

Skills

Required

  • 8–10+ years of editorial experience at a respected publication, platform, or brand
  • track record of building and leading editorial teams
  • Exceptional taste and craft
  • Deep understanding of music, artist culture, and the creative communities Suno serves
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a strategic leader
  • Experience working closely with brand, marketing, social, and PR teams
  • Strong editorial judgment and instinct
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Fluency with the modern editorial stack
  • A builder’s mindset
