Director of Financial Systems

Socure Socure · Vertical AI · San Francisco, CA · Hybrid · Fin/Ops

This role is for a Director of Financial Systems who owns the strategy and execution of Socure's finance technology stack, including ERP, billing, and revenue systems. The ideal candidate is a builder and doer, comfortable with systems architecture, configuration, and workflow fixes, with a strong bias toward automation and AI adoption. The role involves setting strategy, leading implementations, architecting integrations, driving transformation programs, and ensuring governance, security, and compliance within financial applications. Experience with enterprise financial systems, core accounting processes, and leading large-scale systems transformation is required.

What you'd actually do

  1. Set the multi‑year strategy and roadmap for Socure’s financial systems landscape (ERP, billing, revenue, and associated integrations), aligning with business objectives and FinOps priorities.
  2. Lead end‑to‑end design, implementation, and optimization of core financial platforms, ensuring they support GAAP-compliant accounting, robust internal controls, and high-quality financial reporting in partnership with Accounting and FP&A.
  3. Architect and govern enterprise‑grade integrations between financial systems and upstream/downstream applications (e.g., CRM, data warehouse, HRIS, procurement tools), in collaboration with Business Technology and RevOps teams, to enable straight‑through processing and consistent data.
  4. Partner closely with the Controller, Head of Accounting, and FP&A leadership to translate accounting, reporting, and planning requirements into scalable system capabilities and automated workflows.
  5. Drive financial systems transformation programs (such as ERP upgrades, new module rollouts, and automation initiatives), including business case development, vendor selection, project governance, change management, and successful go‑live and adoption.
