Director of Global Growth Strategy and Operations

Microsoft Microsoft · Big Tech · Redmond, WA +1 · Business Planning

This Director of Global Growth Strategy and Operations role within Microsoft's Cloud and AI Platforms organization focuses on Azure's regional pricing, sovereign cloud strategy, and yield optimization. The role involves defining monetization strategies, building scalable operating models, and driving continuous optimization across global public and sovereign regions. It operates at the intersection of pricing strategy, yield management, experimentation, and execution, translating complex signals into repeatable frameworks to maximize customer value, capacity utilization, and profitability. The position requires cross-functional leadership and influencing senior stakeholders.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own Azure’s global and regional pricing strategy, balancing customer value, competitive dynamics, infrastructure supply constraints, and long‑term return on investment.
  2. Lead Azure’s regional yield optimization approach, defining how pricing, offers, and incentives are used to shape demand, improve utilization, and optimize revenue across regions.
  3. Establish a disciplined experimentation and price optimization motion across regions and sovereign clouds, including test design, success metrics, and learning loops.
  4. Lead the end‑to‑end sovereign cloud pricing, yield, and monetization strategy across government and sovereign offerings.
  5. Own the operations for regional expansion and pricing actions within public and sovereign clouds.
