Director of International Commercial Excellence (12-month Maternity Cover)

Peloton is seeking a Director of International Commercial Excellence for a 12-month maternity cover. This role will define and shape international commercial standards, partner with Country General Managers to ensure integration into the Global Matrix Organization, and serve as a bridge between Functional Sales Excellence and Local Market Leadership. Responsibilities include establishing commercial/sales guardrails, providing a global lens on local market decisions, defining best practices for partnership management, guiding negotiations, providing tactical guidance to Sales Managers, interfacing with Global Sales Solutions and other global teams, synthesizing data-driven insights, and building business cases for local investments.

What you'd actually do

  1. Establish the guardrails for commercial/sales parameters, ensuring local market strategies, commercial terms, and promotional approach/calendars align with Peloton’s global functional plans and margin requirements and implement across our international markets
  2. Provide an objective global lens on local market decisions to ensure alignment with the global sales strategy
  3. Define and implement best in class practices to standardize our partnership management, including Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Joint Business Planning (JBPs), ensuring a unified data language across all international markets
  4. Partner with GMs in navigating complex negotiations and 3P retail partnerships, providing the commercial framework for our various operating models to meet our sales, profit and brand objectives
  5. Synthesize data-driven insights from across international markets to identify operational efficiencies and cross-market opportunities

Skills

Required

  • Experience in a global, matrixed organization (preferably US-headquartered) with a demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and build consensus without direct line authority
  • Proven track record in successfully running omnichannel businesses with deep experience in distribution, marketing, and retail operations
  • Experience developing structured frameworks and operational processes within a global organization, specifically within a commercial/sales function
  • Ability to formulate logical, data-driven business insights and build complex business cases that stand up to rigorous executive review
  • Highly effective at building relationships and working cross-functionally across multiple functional and cultural groups
  • A global thinker with a strong understanding of local consumer trends and the ability to translate global strategy into local execution
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity in a dynamic and complex matrix environment, with the ability to find clarity and drive results
  • Experience working within a multi-national organization with a US based headquarters
