Director of Manufacturing Finance for a defense technology company's production facility, focusing on financial architecture, oversight of construction, cost management, pricing strategies, and financial robustness of manufacturing operations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide end-to-end financial management for the Arsenal facility's manufacturing execution. This includes, but is not limited to, driving product profitability analyses, developing and managing standard costs, conducting financial modeling and capital budgeting for facility expansion, assessing production attainment from a financial perspective, optimizing resource allocation, and managing site-specific cash flow considerations on CapEx and Inventory.
  2. Lead the planning, forecasting, and detailed financial and resource analysis across critical functions supporting Arsenal, such as manufacturing engineering, supply chain, program management, and operations.
  3. Develop and implement long-term cost management and reduction programs specific to Arsenal, including building product profitability roadmaps for new technologies and product lines manufactured at the facility.
  4. Compile, review, and present comprehensive budgets, detailed cost allocations, insightful performance dashboards, and key financial health metrics relevant to Arsenal's operations to senior leadership.
  5. Define and deploy global financial methodologies, standards, and lead finance transformation initiatives to ensure consistency, scalability, and automation within the manufacturing finance function, especially as Arsenal grows.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Business or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience directly supporting manufacturing operations (Manufacturing Finance), hardware operations/engineering, automotive, or within the government contracting sector.
  • Proven experience in financial management of large-scale capital projects, including facility construction, greenfield plant build-outs, or significant manufacturing plant expansions.
  • Deep understanding of ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) and their financial modules in a manufacturing and project + cost accounting context.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to distil complex financial information into clear, executive-level presentations.
  • Intellectually curious, highly results-oriented, and comfortable leading in ambiguous, high-visibility roles.
  • Track record of driving transformation, continuous improvement, and measurable bottom-line impact.
  • Must be a U.S. Person

  • Experience with capital-intensive industries or advanced technology manufacturing is highly valued.
