Director of Product Marketing for M365 Copilot Inbound team, responsible for defining strategy, narrative, and go-to-market for Copilot-first experiences that drive adoption and daily usage. This role involves shaping product direction, crafting compelling narratives, and coordinating across various teams (Product Management, Engineering, Sales, etc.) to ensure successful launch and sustained growth of AI-driven productivity tools within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define and drive the inbound product marketing strategy for M365 Copilot’s first experiences, shaping how customers discover, adopt, and build lasting habits with Copilot—while ensuring alignment with broader Microsoft 365 and Microsoft AI strategies and business goals.
  2. Lead and develop a high-performing team of product marketers, setting clear direction and priorities, coaching for impact, and raising the bar on strategic thinking, execution, and cross-functional influence.
  3. Shape product direction from early concept through scaled adoption, synthesizing market, customer, and competitive insights to influence roadmaps, ensure strong product‑market fit, and deliver differentiated customer value.
  4. Craft clear value propositions, positioning, and compelling narratives that articulate how Copilot-first experiences work together to help customers get oriented, get started, and get real work done.
  5. Operate as an expert connector and facilitator, coordinating across Product Management, Engineering, Design/UX, Business Planning, Finance, Sales, and Marketing to align teams around shared goals—often leading through influence rather than authority.

Skills

Required

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years people management experience or indirect people management experience (or virtual teams).

Nice to have

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years people management experience.
  • 15+ years of product marketing experience across cloud, AI, and enterprise software, including AI‑driven products and architectures within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Product leadership and cross‑functional influence, leading product programs, partnering closely with engineering, shaping product roadmaps, and driving alignment across teams and executive stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strategic, customer‑centric mindset with analytical problem‑solving skills and expertise in leveraging market, customer, and competitive insights to inform product and marketing direction.
  • Go‑to‑market execution expertise, including launch strategies, positioning, messaging, field enablement, and demand generation.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical product concepts into compelling narratives for non‑technical, technical, and executive audience.
