Director, Product Marketing, Developer Platform

ServiceNow ServiceNow · Enterprise · San Diego, CA +1 · Marketing, Communications, and Brand

ServiceNow is seeking a Director of Product Marketing for their Developer Platform. This role will own the positioning, narrative, and go-to-market strategy for the developer platform, shaping how developers and the market perceive it. The candidate will define the developer platform narrative across all surfaces, including product launches and executive keynotes, and drive the go-to-market motion connecting the platform story to developer adoption and activation. The role also involves owning the content strategy for the developer site and understanding how AI search and LLMs impact developer research and adoption. This is a senior individual contributor role with no direct reports.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the entire developer-facing messaging strategy for the ServiceNow platform: define the narrative and positioning that shapes how developers, technical buyers, and the market understand and evaluate ServiceNow as a build platform
  2. Own developer platform narrative for major product launches: define the developer-facing story from initial positioning through sustained adoption messaging
  3. Own executive developer keynote content: develop and shape the platform narrative expressed at major external events and developer-facing executive communications
  4. Own the go-to-market strategy and content strategy for the ServiceNow developer site in partnership with the product and engineering team: define what the site says, who it speaks to, and how it is structured to serve developers effectively
  5. Lead developer content strategy in close partnership with the developer relations team: set the strategic brief that developer advocates and community content creators execute against, and ensure output connects to measurable adoption outcomes
