This role is for a Director of Sales Strategy at Zendesk, focusing on transforming how the company drives revenue growth and operational excellence. The responsibilities include setting sales acceleration vision, leading a team, partnering with other departments, driving enterprise-level transformation, translating data into recommendations, and championing best practices. The role requires extensive experience in SaaS sales strategy, management consulting, or GTM leadership, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to present to C-suite and board-level audiences. While AI tools may be used in the application screening process, the core function of the role is not AI/ML development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Set the vision and strategy for Sales Acceleration, designing initiatives that drive sustainable sales growth, productivity, and operational efficiency across the global organization.
  2. Lead and inspire a high-performing team, providing direction, mentorship, and development opportunities to maximize collective impact.
  3. Partner with executive leadership across Product Marketing, Sales Operations, Revenue Strategy, IT, and other critical functions to ensure alignment of go-to-market (GTM) priorities.
  4. Drive enterprise-level transformation, scaling sales processes, enablement, and tools to support global business expansion.
  5. Translate complex data and insights into board- and executive-level recommendations that shape sales strategies and investments.
