Director, SC Global WMS S&O role at Johnson & Johnson (DePuy Synthes) responsible for global Warehouse Management System (WMS) strategy and operations. What you'd actually do

  1. Define and own the global WMS strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise IT and Supply Chain priorities.
  2. Lead global WMS operations, including system stability, performance, upgrades, and continuous improvement across distribution centers and regions.
  3. Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Commercial teams to deliver technology solutions that improve warehouse efficiency, accuracy, and service levels.
  4. Oversee global WMS implementations, enhancements, and integrations, including vendor coordination and delivery governance.
  5. Lead the application of AI, advanced analytics, and automation to modernize supply chain platforms, improving demand forecasting, planning accuracy, and end‑to‑end decision-making while driving efficient and resilient supply chain operations at scale.

Skills

Required

  • 10-12 years of progressive experience in IT and/or Supply Chain Technology roles, with significant focus on Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Proven experience leading global WMS strategy, operations, and large‑scale implementations.
  • Strong leadership experience managing global, cross‑functional, and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with senior business stakeholders and translate operational needs into technology solutions.
  • Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences).
  • Strong vendor management, financial acumen, and program governance skills.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree (MBA or MS) preferred.
  • Experience supporting global distribution networks and complex warehouse automation environments.
  • Knowledge of SAP‑integrated WMS platforms and modern supply chain digital solutions.
  • Experience leading technology transformations in global organizations.
  • Demonstrated change leadership and organizational transformation capabilities.
  • Additional languages a plus.
  • Supply Chain, IT, or Program Management certifications preferred.
