What you'd actually do

  1. Own and evolve the marketing technology (MarTech) ecosystem , including CRM, CDP, and customer data platforms that power personalized customer experiences.
  2. Define and execute long-range technology strategy for marketing, customer data, and engagement platforms aligned to Petco’s commerce and customer experience vision.
  3. Lead architecture and integration across platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Service Cloud, Adobe Experience Cloud, and related systems.
  4. Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Data, and Engineering to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  5. Drive customer data strategy, including identity resolution, segmentation, and lifecycle marketing capabilities.

Skills

Required

  • 12+ years of experience in marketing technology
  • deep hands-on expertise in platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Salesforce Service Cloud (SFSC), Adobe Experience Cloud, Oracle Eloqua, Epsilon, or similar
  • Strong experience with customer data systems, CRM, and CDP platforms, including identity resolution solutions (e.g., Reltio or similar)
  • Proficiency in SQL and/or Python, with experience working with large-scale customer datasets
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring technical teams, including engineers and QA
  • Strong understanding of marketing automation, customer journey management, CRM, and customer care workflows
