Salesforce is seeking a Director of Solution Engineering to lead a team focused on driving transformational, multi-cloud deals for high-value commercial accounts in the Consumer and Business Services sector. The role involves architecting the 'Agentic Enterprise' vision, positioning autonomous agents and Data360, and codifying pre-sales motions and technical architectures to win and grow strategic accounts. The Director will act as a senior technical advisor to C-suite stakeholders, ensure customer success through effective deployment strategies, and influence the product roadmap. This leadership position requires extensive experience in pre-sales, management consulting, or strategic sales, with a deep understanding of enterprise architectures and transformation methodologies, particularly in the context of AI and agentic systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the technical "win" strategy for strategic accounts, moving the needle from technical features to business-outcomes-driven innovation.
  2. Act as a senior technical advisor to C-suite and VP-level stakeholders within strategic accounts, positioning Salesforce as a long-term strategic partner.
  3. Bridge the gap between "The Sale" and "The Success" by partnering with professional services, partners ecosystem, deployment strategies and customer success to define deployment strategies that ensure rapid time-to-value.
  4. Playbook Codification: Design and scale organizational programs that enhance the productivity and expertise of the strategic SE team.
  5. Champion the Agentforce vision, positioning autonomous agents and Data360 as the transformational backbone for CBS customers.

Skills

Required

  • 10+ years of experience in pre-sales leadership, management consulting, or strategic sales roles
  • proven track record of managing high-performing teams
  • Enterprise experience
  • Expertise in managing high-AOV customers and Complex Deal cycles where multi-stakeholder alignment is critical
  • Deep understanding of the Salesforce portfolio, the platform architecture
  • Proficiency in transformation methodologies to solve complex business challenges through Salesforce stack
  • Strong ability to lead deep technical conversations with Heads of Technology & Architecture
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills
