This role is for a Director, Account Technology Strategist at Microsoft, focusing on defining and executing the technology strategy for a major global insurance customer. The role involves advising C-level executives on AI, Copilot, Security, Cloud, and Data capabilities to drive enterprise-scale transformation. It requires building trusted relationships, orchestrating internal and partner resources, and aligning technology roadmaps with business outcomes. The role is primarily customer-facing and strategic, aiming to influence and drive adoption of Microsoft's solutions within the client's organization.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define and drive a multi‑horizon technology strategy and roadmap aligned to the customer’s business outcomes and insurance industry priorities.
  2. Lead AI, Copilot, and Security strategy discussions, including Customer Secure AI Assessments and roadmap execution.
  3. Build deep, trusted relationships with C‑level and senior technical and business stakeholders.
  4. Orchestrate Specialist (STU), Customer Success (CSU), and partner resources across MCEM stages — from envisioning to realization and value optimization.
  5. Translate complex architectures into clear, outcome‑driven executive narratives tied to measurable business value.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 7+ years technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building, or related technical/sales/industry experience OR equivalent experience.
  • Cloud background check

  • Expertise in enterprise cloud, AI, data platforms, and security architectures.
  • Ability to operate credibly with C‑level executives in large, complex enterprise environments.
  • Ability to demonstrate and showcase the latest Microsoft technologies (e.g., Copilot, AI Foundry, Azure, Security) to senior executives — live demos, prototypes, or architectural walkthroughs as appropriate.
  • Storytelling skills: able to turn complex technical concepts into clear, compelling, executive‑level narratives that resonate with business leaders.
  • Strong grasp of how technology decisions connect to business outcomes, transformation programs, and industry trends.
  • Experience collaborating and orchestration skills across sales, engineering, customer success, and partners.
