Databricks is seeking a Director, Strategic Accounts for their Logistics & Tech verticals in Germany. This role involves leading and mentoring a team of Strategic Account Executives, driving account expansion, hiring top talent, and ensuring accurate forecasting and disciplined execution. The ideal candidate has a strong track record in enterprise sales leadership within Data, AI, Cloud, or SaaS/Tech companies, with deep knowledge of the Logistics vertical and strong relationships with strategic accounts.

What you'd actually do

  1. You’ll leverage your network to build a strong talent pipeline and hire exceptional sales leaders as the team grows — raising the bar with every hire.
  2. Within your first 90 days, you’ll establish a clear regional growth and investment plan, demonstrating a bias for action and a focus on measurable outcomes.
  3. You’ll build and sponsor trusted, executive-level relationships with customers and partners to drive long-term success — staying relentlessly customer-obsessed.
  4. You’ll coach your team to lead with strong vision-setting, methodology-based selling, and alignment to customer goals and outcomes, elevating performance through accountability and excellence.
  5. You’ll ensure accurate forecasting and create a predictable, high-growth business through disciplined execution and inspection.

Skills

Required

  • People leadership experience (5+ years leading Enterprise sales teams)
  • Experience selling into strategic/global accounts in Germany
  • Experience in high-growth Data, AI, Cloud, or SaaS/Tech companies
  • Knowledge of the Logistics vertical
  • Experience building and leveraging partner ecosystems
  • Experience with MEDDPICC and Challenger sales methodologies
  • Fluency in German and English

Nice to have

  • Strong understanding of usage-based, commit-based, and service-based revenue models
  • Ability to travel regularly
