Director, Strategic Workforce Planner

Salesforce is seeking a Director, Strategic Workforce Planner to serve as a strategic advisor to business units, leading the development and execution of holistic three-year and in-year Workforce & Organizational Plans. This role shapes workforce strategy, optimizes organizational design, and embeds workforce planning into business decision-making. The role will partner cross-functionally to ensure alignment with company objectives and drive Workforce Transformation by integrating AI-driven automation and Digital Labor strategies aligned with Salesforce's human + agents vision. Responsibilities include organizational design, data analysis for insights, stakeholder engagement, proactive workforce optimization, and continuous improvement, with a focus on leveraging AI and Digital Labor.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with BU leaders to design and optimize organizational structures — including job profiles, skills, grade level distribution, spans of control, and workforce architecture
  2. Analyze workforce data to uncover trends, discrepancies, and opportunities across locations, job profiles, and grade levels
  3. Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, HRBPs, and Strategy & Operations teams, translating workforce insights into strategic actions
  4. Develop and implement strategies to optimize workforce resources, balancing headcount, skills, and budget
  5. Stay ahead of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in workforce planning and organizational design

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Economics, or a related field
