What you'd actually do

  1. Lead a portfolio of the most impactful projects and corporate processes that position Caterpillar for long-term success.
  2. Develop business cases in support of Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) and asset acquisition targets, as required.
  3. Provide support in establishing and executing an annual strategic planning process with the Executive team, business units, and functions.
  4. Responsible for strategic prioritization and focus across multiple organizations, driving collaboration and coordination toward shared goals.
  5. Work closely with cross-functional and leadership teams across the segment on strategic projects, bringing timely and useful insight and analytical support.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree within Finance, Economics, Engineering, or other related fields.
  • 10+ years of financial experience, competitive analysis, and/or M&A, preferably within a larger and/or multinational corporation.
  • Knowledge of techniques, roles, and responsibilities in providing technical or business guidance to clients, both internal and external; ability to apply consulting knowledge appropriately.
  • Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Knowledge of stakeholder management techniques; ability to systematically identify stakeholders, analyze their needs and expectations, and implement various tasks to engage with them.
  • Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
