Director of Tax overseeing US income tax accounting, domestic compliance, and controversy. Partners with cross-functional teams to support business, manage risk, and drive tax strategy. Requires 15+ years of corporate tax experience, CPA/Masters preferred. Experience in the technology industry is a plus.

What you'd actually do

  1. Ensure completeness and accuracy of tax compliance and reporting for U.S. federal, state, local, GAAP, and SEC requirements by maintaining current knowledge of laws, regulations, accounting, and reporting standards, while advising management on essential considerations and needed actions
  2. Direct all aspects of the quarterly and year-end tax provisions and disclosures
  3. Oversee all aspects of domestic compliance and related audits including federal, state, and local income tax returns and other filings
  4. Monitor the tax landscape, research and interpret, and assist with the ongoing analysis and documentation of tax positions and internal controls to identify and address potential tax risks and opportunities
  5. Analyze business and financial forecasts to provide insights into future effective tax rates and cash taxes
