Director, Technical Program Management, Enterprise Prioritization Enablement

Walmart Walmart · Retail · Bentonville, AR

This role is responsible for operationalizing Walmart's enterprise product priorities by connecting strategy, product intent, and engineering execution. The Director will drive alignment, surface tradeoffs, and ensure clarity across complex, cross-functional initiatives. This involves partnering with Strategy, Product, and Engineering leaders to translate priorities into executable plans, prepare executive-ready materials, and manage interdependencies. The role requires a strong understanding of engineering practices, system architecture, platform dependencies, and capacity planning to inform prioritization and resourcing decisions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with Strategy, Product, and Engineering leaders to support prioritization efforts, with a focus on enterprise, segment, and functional priorities.
  2. Drive development and maintenance of materials, templates, and documentation used for priority reporting updates across EC, GLM, and Global Product Area forums.
  3. Prepare content and analysis to support Executive Committee Forums, including risks, dependencies, tradeoffs, and decision points.
  4. Analyze platform dependencies, technical constraints, and engineering capacity to inform prioritization, sequencing, and resourcing decisions.
  5. Translate complex technical concepts into clear, fact-based narratives that enable executive understanding and alignment.
