Director, Third Party Management

This role is for a Director of Third Party Management at Capital One Canada. The primary responsibilities include overseeing the holistic relationship between Capital One and its third-party suppliers in Canada, focusing on sourcing, cost management, risk management, and performance management. The role involves leading a team of supplier managers, ensuring adherence to policies, managing budgets, negotiating contracts, resolving escalations, and assessing third-party risks and performance. Experience in highly regulated industries is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and develop a team of supplier managers across one or more major spend categories, as well as the management of operational components and change programs (e.g. supplier transition, platform migration, new outsourcing, etc.) as required
  2. Accountable for proper invoice review, reconciliation and payment for assigned categories
  3. Partner with internal budget owners to deliver against operating or marketing budgets and deliver year over year cost savings in assigned spend categories
  4. Partner with appropriate stakeholders on negotiations for all managed third party relationships and produce regular performance related reporting
  5. Manage on-boarding/off-boarding of third parties and resolve performance related issues/escalations with third parties
