Director of Technical Program Management for Infrastructure Governance (InfraGov) at Pinterest. This role owns the infrastructure budget operating system, leading a team of TPMs to manage spend control, efficiency, capacity, and vendor performance. A key aspect is leveraging GenAI as the default operating model for program management execution, including AI-assisted artifact creation, workflow modernization, and risk synthesis. What you'd actually do

  1. Define the multi-year strategy and operating model for infrastructure cost governance/ FinOps at Pinterest
  2. Own annual planning, quarterly re-forecasting, variance management, and execute-to-budget mechanisms for infrastructure investment
  3. Lead a team of TPMs and FinOps practitioners driving programs across spend transparency, efficiency, capacity planning, and vendor performance
  4. Build source-of-truth reporting, dashboards, and business reviews that make infrastructure cost, usage, and performance visible and actionable
  5. Partner with Finance, Engineering, Product, and Procurement leaders to drive high-quality trade-offs across innovation, reliability, cost, and growth

Skills

Required

  • Significant experience leading large, cross-functional technical portfolios through senior TPMs, managers, or FinOps practitioners
  • Deep familiarity with cloud and infrastructure systems, including the cost, capacity, and reliability implications of technical decisions
  • Strong business and financial acumen, including planning, forecasting, KPI management, and investment trade-off analysis
  • Track record building durable governance mechanisms, reporting frameworks, and operating cadences that scale across many teams
  • Executive presence and proven ability to influence senior leaders across Engineering, Finance, Product, and Procurement
  • Strong analytical judgment and experience using data to drive decisions, accountability, and course correction
  • AI-first execution mindset: demonstrated ability to use GenAI to accelerate planning, program operations, and stakeholder communications—starting with AI drafts and applying strong judgment to validate, refine, and drive decisions.
  • Workflow design, AI fluency, data & insights orientation: experience turning repeatable program work into durable, low-toil mechanisms and improving decision-making by using GenAI (e.g., strong prompting, vibe coding lightweight scripts/tools, dashboards, data analysis and leveraging agents where appropriate)
  • Safety-by-design AI fluency: experience operating within AI governance expectations (risk assessment, data handling, model/output validation, auditability/traceability) and proactively identifying where AI use is not appropriate or requ
