Visa is seeking a Director for their VCA NA Risk Practice to lead credit and identity risk initiatives. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing strategies across the credit lifecycle, partnering with data science teams to deploy and interpret predictive models, and driving innovative risk strategies by leveraging alternative data and AI. The candidate will also be responsible for delivering automated credit policy and decisioning solutions, conducting credit maturity assessments, and developing forecasting and mitigation solutions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Deliver and scale automated credit policy and decisioning solutions, including policy frameworks, model‑driven decision logic, model adjustment tools, and governance‑ready artifacts to support issuer underwriting and portfolio management needs.
  2. Partner closely with data science teams to deploy and interpret predictive models, model forecasts, and stress scenarios - translate analytical outputs into clear business decisions and actionable recommendations.
  3. Design and implement dashboards, scorecards, and KPIs to monitor credit risk performance, delinquency trends, early‑warning indicators, and overall portfolio health.
  4. Deliver and scale loss forecasting and mitigation solutions, including expected loss projections, scenario/stress analytics, and strategy recommendations to proactively reduce delinquencies and credit losses across the portfolio.
  5. Drive innovative risk strategies by leveraging alternative data, and AI.
