Director role in Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) focused on leading high-impact projects in the Andean region for clients like issuers, acquirers, merchants, neobanks, and fintechs. Responsibilities include developing initiatives for sustainable growth, managing client relationships, developing project proposals, and delivering consulting engagements. Requires extensive client-facing experience, leadership skills, and knowledge of the payments industry.

What you'd actually do

  1. Proactively engage with consulting and client leadership in regular strategic & planning discussions; cultivate and manage a pipeline of analytic work.
  2. Develop frameworks, approaches, solutions and recommendations that address the most impactful opportunities and challenges.
  3. Partner with peers in other functional areas (e.g., marketing, sales, risk, client services, products) to implement projects in ways that maximize the breadth and depth of Visa’s resources.
  4. Produce insights, analyses and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for client priorities.
  5. Deliver consulting engagements, including managing the team of consultants, resolving complex strategic problems, synthesizing recommendations, preparing and delivering client presentations, managing complex project structures.

Skills

Required

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Nice to have

  • 5+ years’ experience working in the payments industry, preferably managing cards portfolios or relevant experience at payments management in consulting firms
  • An educational background ideally in a quantitative field such as engineering, economics, computer science, business administration, or finance.
  • Highly collaborative with experience working with geographically distributed teams.
  • Passionate, self-motivated, and results-oriented individual with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
