Display Metrology Engineer

Apple Apple · Big Tech · Shanghai, Shanghai, China · Hardware

Develops display instrumentation and metrology for new Apple products, focusing on calibration, test methodology, and building reliable instruments. Involves FMEA, system design, and data-driven decision making using modeling and ML.

What you'd actually do

  1. Deep dive and FMEA for new display technology/architecture in prototype phase.
  2. Collaborate with cross functional teams to build end-to-end calibration and test strategy.
  3. Design corresponding metrology system with good balance of engineering requirements, development cycle time and financial budgeting.
  4. Touch every aspect of a display test system, including requirement specification, hardware/software development and audit process definition.
  5. Provide trustable report with subjective data, to help new display design convergence by revealing or even predicting hidden risks.
