Display System Architect

Meta Meta · Big Tech · Redmond, WA

This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimizing display systems for wearable products, involving advanced display technologies and cross-functional collaboration. The architect will drive end-to-end display solutions, define technical goals, lead development of new technologies, and manage integration across optics, mechanics, calibration, and system interfaces. Experience with AI/ML tools in engineering workflows is a plus.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive the design and integration of full binocular display systems, including optics, mechanics, calibration, and system interfaces
  2. Develop and optimize display architectures, algorithms, and processes to ensure high-quality visual experiences
  3. Define technical goals, lead development of leading-edge technologies, and work with evolving ecosystems to provide differentiating capabilities
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop concepts and prototypes into realizable product hardware designs and implement display technologies
  5. Lead and drive execution of equipment development and bring-up on-site, identify risks, drive failure analysis and corrective actions, and implement yield, reliability, throughput, and up-time improvements
