Lead Network Security Standards and industry group efforts, shaping global standards and strengthening industry leadership. Partner with stakeholders to create and drive initiatives through the Standards Ecosystem, influencing working-group direction and contributing to Verizon's strategic direction. Architect the development of network security standards for future networks like 5G-Advanced, 6G, and Non-Terrestrial-Networks, focusing on enhancing network security, reducing risks, and improving efficiency. Requires strong facilitation, negotiation, and technical/business expertise.

What you'd actually do

  1. Represent Verizon as Standards lead on Network Security Ecosystem - 3GPP SA3, O-RAN WG11, GSMA, FCC CSRIC.
  2. Contribute at a high level to Standards development (white-papers, specs, conference reports etc.).
  3. Shape Verizon industry positions with key internal stakeholders (network security/planning, public policy, product) Security direction by relating security technologies, security risks ⇔ customer experience, stakeholder and business interests.
  4. Continuously monitoring the Security Standards Ecosystem.
  5. Collaborating with management and connecting opportunities/gaps with business value.
