What you'd actually do

  1. Support the installation and maintenance of the client Local Area Network (LAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN) devices.
  2. Respond to, update, and resolve incident tickets within ServiceNow.
  3. Administer networks including hardware, systems software, applications software, and all hardware configurations.
  4. Coordinate network operations, maintenance, repairs, or upgrades.
  5. Perform configuration management functions such as validating topology drawings and ensure that asset management records are accurate.

Skills

Required

  • 10 years of experience (combination of work history and education)
  • Department of Defense (DoD) 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2 compliance
  • TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
  • Knowledge of OSI layers 1, 2, and 3
  • Troubleshooting layer two switching (VLANs)
  • Troubleshooting layer three routing
  • Troubleshooting MPLS
  • Experience with Microfocus tools
  • Experience with ServiceNow
  • Experience with Riverbed tools
